Disney will be coming to Shanghai as of June 16th. The Shanghai Disney Resort will become the very first Disney destination in mainland China this year, developed with the Shanghai Shendi Group at a whopping cost of $5.5 billion. The Shanghai Disney Resort has been designed as a melding of cultures, bringing Disney’s well-known and beloved atmosphere to the Shanghai culture. The resort will be one of only three Disney properties throughout Asia; the other two of which are located in Hong Kong and Tokyo.
