Mosquito Netting May Repair Groin Hernia

February 2, 2016

In an incredible example of out-of-the-box thinking, a double-blind trial in Uganda has discovered that mosquito netting may be able to be used to treat a previously costly issue called groin hernia. Hernias can be a painful and ultimately dangerous issue that frequently goes untreated due to cost. But that’s not all the applications that this mosquito netting may be able to be used for. Surgeons are currently looking into whether these treatments may be able to be expanded upon and whether they may be relevant for other procedures worldwide.
